The Fellowship of the Ring | The Two Towers | The Return of the King
Gandalf is still in Moria, fighting the Balrog as they fall. The fight lasts some time when, eventually, he defeats it and throws it from the top of the highest tower of the mine. Exhausted, Gandalf waits for death to claim him.

Aragorn listens. The trio are closing in on the Uraks all the time. It's just a matter of, erm, time

They look out across the plain. So near, and yet so far!

More running for the poor Dwarf. The Hobbits are being taken to Isengard, where Saruman is in an impenetrable tower called Orthanc. No one can get him there!

|
Saruman talks many men into following him, and orders his Uraks to attack Edoras, capital of Rohan (what an evil piece of work, eh?). Unlike Orc, Uraks can (unfortunately for our good guys) go out in sunlight.
