Are you ready? Prepare for a quick go through the movies!

Here is the Fellowship, just named by Elrond (he's an Elf, this is quick, don't ask questions!)

There are two ways they can get to where they want to go: through Caradrhas (left) or through the mines of Moria. The guide, Gandalf (the one with a long grey beard in the above picture) knows Moria's an evil place so goes for the mountain

Now there's an evil Wizard watching them, and he causes an avalanche...so they go through the gate of Moria
